Maria Johnston leads our Advertising and Media Practice.

Maria has held senior legal positions in the sector for over 7 years, most recently as the senior Legal Counsel for EMEA at Interpublic Group and the Group Legal Counsel for MullenLowe Profero.

Our experience in this sector means that we comprehend the complex workings of the industry. We understand, for example, the delicate balance between the technical nature of digital marketing and media strategy and the creative dynamics of marketing communications. We also have an in-depth appreciation of the commercial requirements of media organisations, coupled with a sensitivity for those who create and intellectual property.

Our work in the Advertising and Media sector includes:

  • Advising on digital marketing, web and app builds and media purchasing
  • Co-ordinating agency of record agreements and campaign specific projects, utilising licensing, talent, purchasing and multi-media channels

  • Creation and training of staff on documentation required for new media businesses
