This session will be led by Karen Maxwell. Karen is a leading barrister practising in commercial law and international trade. In addition, she is a directory-ranked arbitrator sitting in maritime and commercial arbitrations and is a qualified mediator.

In this session Karen will give a whistle-stop tour of arbitration, including the following questions:

• Should I make arbitration the exclusive dispute resolution procedure in all contracts? What are the pros and cons of arbitrating?
• Can I still get an injunction?
• Which arbitration rules should I choose?
• Do all states recognise arbitration awards?
• One or three arbitrators?
