The UN estimates that there are 50 million people enslaved today – more than ever before in history.

There is mounting pressure on business to remove the risks of forced labour from the supply chain.

New laws particularly the EU Corporate Sustainability Directive, will place new obligations on large businesses increasing their responsibility for the entire upstream supply chain and a recent Court of Appeal decision exposes businesses to criminal liability under anti money laundering laws if they deal in goods that they know (or suspect) are tainted by human rights abuses.

In this session we will provide real world examples of the plight of slavery and explain how we must and can do more
